When night falls, but also in mid-day sunlight<\/em><\/span>
or in that humid November light, I stop to observe the vines<\/em><\/span>
and know that my eyes can never be too full of them<\/em><\/span>
nor my heart embrace them too tightly.<\/em><\/span>
Though poets\u2019 songs and music are perfect creations,<\/em><\/span>
and touch all the chords around the soul,<\/em><\/span>
I know that very little has been said so far,<\/em><\/span>
and we will never be able to say enough.<\/em><\/span>
The wine I choose in emotional moments<\/em><\/span>
is a silent thank you to those who have preceded us<\/em><\/span>
and left behind signs of their love for this land.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
